About the CRC

How it Works

What does the Community Resource Center do?

The Community Resource Center (CRC) provides new household merchandise such as cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products, clothing, toys and more to non-profit agencies and those in desperate need.
CRC holds free monthly giveaways through our warehouse - also known as "Supply Central."  The giveaways include the basic household necessities as well as other donations from individuals and corporations.

Where does CRC get the stuff for the giveaways?

CRC works with liquidation wholesalers to get the best deal on the items we provide. The cheaper we can get the products, the more agencies and people we can serve.

CRC also accepts "In Kind" donations  from corporations and individuals.
We have given away everything from binders and photo paper to cases upon cases of "squishy stress balls" and decorative items from local retailers. Our most unique donation was over $300,000 worth of flower bulbs. Look for lots of blooms in the spring.

Large items such as furniture are donated by corporate and private entities and are passed along at no charge to our partner agencies. These donations help the corporations save money on inventory and storage costs and help to preserve the environment by keeping valuable resources out of landfills.

Who are the non-profit partners?

Our nonprofit partners are a diverse group of agencies that include foster homes, treatment centers, halfway houses, homeless shelters, domestic violence programs, youth camps, refugee resettlement services and programs helping disadvantaged children.

Why is CRC important for Nashville?

By providing the basic household necessities and other donations (furniture, office equipment, etc.), CRC helps non-profit agencies preserve precious dollars to meet the needs their clients.  Over 100 non-profit agencies can better serve their clients because of CRC.
